Ingredients
  

  • 1 big banana flower
  • 2 potato, boiled and mashed.
  • 2 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 4 - 8 garlic cloves
  • 2 red chillies
  • 4 Curry Leaves
  • 4 pod tamarind

Instructions
 

Prepare the Banana Flower

  • Clean the banana flower by removing the tough outer layers and the thread-like string from each flower.
  • Chop the cleaned banana flower into small pieces.

Boil the Banana Flower:

  • In a container, add the chopped banana flower pieces, water, tamarind pods salt, and turmeric powder.
  • Then extract the boiled chopped banana flower and Squeeze Excess Liquid

Prepare the Potato:

  • Boil the potato until it's soft, then mash it.

Prepare the Spice Paste:

  • Make a paste by blending jeera (cumin seeds), mustard seeds, garlic cloves, and red chillies together. You can add a little water to aid in blending.

Cooking:

  • In a kadhai (wok) or a deep pan, heat mustard oil until it starts to smoke a little (smoking point).
  • Add panchphoran (the five-spice mixture), Curry Leaves and Dry Chili to the hot oil.
  • Add the prepared spice paste to the hot oil and sauté until the raw smell disappears and the oil starts to separate.
  • Add the mashed potato to the kadhai. Stir and cook for a few minutes to blend the flavors. Put 1/2 cup of water let it boil.
  • Add the boiled banana flower to the kadhai and mix well with the other ingredients. Cook for a few more minutes to reduce the water - allow the flavors to combine.

Serve:

  • The Banana Flower and Potato Delight is now ready to be served. Enjoy it with rice for a wholesome and flavorful meal.
