Hansa Keli is one of the chappan bhog receipe which is offered during sakala dhupa ( morning meal at 10’o clock). It is also one of the bhog Recipe during Chandan yatra.
Ingredients:
Urad dal / black gram 1 cup
Jeera/ cumin seeds 1 tsp
Grated ginger
Salt as per taste
Asafoetida/ hing
Jaggery 1/2 cup
Soak urad dal for 2-3 hours and make a paste.
Preparations
In a bowl mix urad dal paste with other ingredients well.
Now prepare the jaggery syrup. Add 2tbsp of water and bring it to boil on high flame.
Once you get one string consistency of jaggery syrup, immediately take out from the stove. Otherwise it will turn thick.
Fry urad dal paste into small round balls till golden brown on both sides in ghee/ oil.
Prepare this delicious desert receipe and offer bhog to god.
Nicely coat them with jaggery syrup. It will be like dry Gulab Jamoon.
Hansakeli is ready for bhog.
